PROPOSALS to increase fares are to be considered at an early meeting of Morecambe and Heysham Transport Committee. At existing rates, the recent wage increase to busmen—which will cost the transport department £6,000 a year—and the setting aside for depreciation of £12,000 annually, will result in a loss. The department plans to buy three new buses each year.
