Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

adequately heated winter travel over long distances must become most uncomfortable for the passengers, and whilst some form of heating is necessary, it is essential that only pure air should be circulated. That this is achieved is one of the great features claimed for the heating system marketed by Oatway Safety 'Heating Co., of Marban Place, Bravingtou. Road, London, W.D.

This system utilizes in a novel manner the hot water circulating in tbe cooling system of the engine, inasmuch as a certain amount of water is bypassed from the radiator connections to a small heater or heaters mounted in the coach interior, return pipes leading to the outlet of the vehicle radiator.

A battery of tubes after the style of a honeycomb radiator block comprises the heating units, and between each tube is a space of Y-6. in., all around which hot water circulates. The tubes are set at an angle of about 45 degrees, sloping from back to front in an upward

direction. What happens is that so soon as hot water circulates, air in the tubes becomes warmer-, and as it gets hot must rise, thereby drawing in cooler air to take its place.

In this way free circulation of warm. air is maintained inside the vehicle, so that, in conjunction with good ventilation, an ideal warmth should be main tained without the circulation of any overheated or polluted air. A very simple control, which consists of a screw-down type of valve, is provided so that the heat can be governed, The beaters used in this systeffi can be made quite compact, ready for installing conveniently in any coach. The Oatway products are well made and nicely finished, whilst the cost 'of an installation would not be excessive.
