NEW DISTRIBUTION SOFTWARE COMPANY • A new software house is being set up in Nottingham to offer transport managers, and those in materials handling and warehousing, a single source of expertise for all their computer applications.
The company is called Davies and Robson Software Limited (DRSL), and will be a wholly-owned subsidiary of Davies and Robson — one of the country's largest distribution consultants.
DRSL will bring together all the current programming resources of Davies and Robson, which includes the specialist software house Freight Software Systems of Nottingham, the existing computer operations of Davies and Robson and an agency for the CAPE range of space utilisation software.
The new company will be based at Freight Software Systems' Nottingham offices (0602 587639). All the current products of FSS and Davies and Robson will continue to be supported and developed.
