UN1GATE'S transport operations show reduced operating profits in the half year results to September 30, announced last week.
Giltspur's figures slumped to 1:2.6 million against E4.5 million for the same period in 1984 and E10 million for the full year to March 31.
Wincanton fared better at 5:4.5 million against E4.7 million for the half year in 1984 and 5:8.3 million for the last full year.
