Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AN ADJUSTABLE towing bracket for the Land Rover 110 and other light commercial vehicles has been produced by P. J. Lea of Stockport.

It allows the height of the towing coupling to be varied by 22mm (81/2in) without having to remove the coupling.

The unit can achieve a level towing height for different types of light drawbar trailers, particularly those with a close-coupled tandem axle configuration, where a level towing height is important to ensure equal loading on both trailer axles.

The coupling consists of two special channel sections with a central sliding circular rack. The towing coupling is bolted to the face of the sliding channel, which is drilled for both BS114a and BSAU24 to accommodate a standard 50mm (2in) ball or Pinlc coupling.

Rubber shock absorbers are also fitted to the bracket to dampen the effect of shockloads to the vehicle chassis caused by the pitching motion of four-wheel trailers.
