MIKE QUILTY has become parcels operations director for the Post Office, responsible for Britain's parcel service handling 600,000 items daily.
Mr Guilty is currently deputy director of mail operations, having joined the Post Office in 1958.
During his career he was responsible for the design of Data post, the high-speed courier service for urgent documents and packages.
