which would enable them to earn an estimated £24,000 a year, was made at Manchester by G. Reyner (Transport), Ltd., who asked for six vehicles of 26+ tons on A licence.
About 18 months ago, it was stated, they had been using 350 sub-contractors, but now, for various reasons, they had lost about 100 of these.
Mr. P. C. Fretton. transport manager of Truseon. Ltd., Trafford Park, said in support that it was now their policy gradually to write-off their own vehicles and rely on outside transport. In 1959 they had spent £8,000 with Reyner's, compared with £13,000 in 1960.
