WHEN a witness supported an application for additional transport facilities he should be able to give details of specific instances of inconvenience, pointed out Mr. F. Williamson, North Western Licensing Authority, when he refused an application by Massey's Removals, Ltd., Reddish, Stockport, to add one vehicle of 3-1tons to their A licence to carry furniture, household effects and plastics.
Mr. G. F. G. Moss. a director of Manchester Plastics, Ltd., who make parts for refrigerators, said they had used Massey vehicles for several years, but on many occasions they had to wait for transport. He could give no date when this had happened. The application was opposed by three private objectors, British Road Services, and British Railways.
