THE British Transport Commission was among the nationalized undertakings which last week presented to the Tucker Committee claims for relief from liability to profits tax. Mr. H. E. Osborne, for the B.T.e., declared that the Commission was in a worse position than private traders. Interest amounting to about £17,000,000 a year was disallowed for profits tax. The liability, on this St/ RI was about £1,700,000
