The rural libraries sub-committee of the Northumberland Education Committee has resolved to purchase a motorvan in order to effect more efficient and regular transport of books between the central store andthe various local libraries in the county. This vehicle will be fitted up to hold about 1,200 books, and will visit each village in turn. An assistant is to be engaged to combine the duties of driver and library ,assistaut.
