Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

SOME idea of the ChM of bodywork which is undertaken by Messrs. L. Fleming and Son, Cleveland Read, Wolverhampton, can be gathered from the accompanying illustrations, one of which shows a special vehicle and the other a passenger-carrying model.

The first has been constructed to the order of a company of electric welders of West Hartlepool; and one of the features of this van is its size. Although this is of somewhat big proportions, it is fairly light in construction, but the platform has been made amply strong in order to accommodate the arc welding plant, consisting of a generator, gasengine and switchboard..

The chassis is a Tilling-Stevens; and the dynamo and motor have been specially wired, and are used in conjunction with the plant carried in the interior for executing arc welding operations.

The other picture shows a detachable char-b-banes body which the company have recently constructed and mounted on a 15-20 h.p. Guy chassia. This small coach body.,is bolted up to the back of the front seats, and it can readily be removed When it is desired to use the vehicle for goods-carrying, a lorry body being available for this purpose. The char-a-hancs body is equipped with a single door -on the off side and two on the near side, the rearmost of the latter communicating via a central gangway with the back compartment, around the sides of which seating is arranged for nine people. On the near side of the gangway there is a single seat and on, the off side a seat for two people, whilst two other passengers can be accommodated alongside the driver. The seats giveadequate comfort and are trimmed in leather, the backs being finished with carpeting to avoid scratching.

A detail refinement of the construction is the rolling-over of the panels so as to give a good finish to the top of the aides and at. the same time enabling the bending and piping to be fitted on the inside where it is not so liable to wear and tear.

This smart little coach is fitted with pneumatics of the same also on all wheels, twins being used at the rear. A spare wheel is carried in a box disposed under the off-side running board, and tools are carried in a locker located under the front seat. The price of the lorry and coach bodies, which enable the vehicle to be used for two distinct purposes, is £105.
