• Appleyard Group has a new chief executive, Michael Williamson, who joins the motor dealing and finance concern, headquartered at Harrogate, from Thomas Tilling and BTR where he was managing director of Pascon Ltd. He was previously with Lex Services as managing director of its commercial vehicle interests.
Ian Appleyard continues with the groups as chairman.
