Fit those tachos now
OPERATORS should take advantage of tachographs now and not wait until 1982, Lucas Kienzle general manager Fred Kay told hauliers last weekend.
Speaking at the Road Haulage Association's Blackpool workshop, he said: "I would appeal to you, don't put the things on now and forget about them. That could be disastrous."
He said it would take until sometime into 1982 before Lucas Kienzle knows how much information operators will want from tachographs.
