Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE BRITISH CHAMBER of Commerce (BCC) is urging the Government to push major banks — particularly those where it now has a stake — to keep credit lines open to business.

Many road transport companies will be facing funding reviews in January, and it is essential that any who are anticipating problems around their continued funding start to plan their business case now, and take any shortterm action necessary to improve their cash proposition.

"We know for a fact that businesses are struggling to get credit," explains BCC spokesman Sam 'Purvey. "The difference between this downturn and previous ones is that this has the potential to make perfectly viable businesses go under."
