Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

HAULIERS ARE increasingly satisfied with the service they receive from the Vehicle 84 Operator Services Agency (VOSA).

According to a survey of 700 operators undertaken by market research company MORI. 73% of operators say they are satisfied with commercial vehicle testing and 78% with operator licensing. This compares favourably with a similar report in June. in which almost half the operators surveyed said that they were dissatisfied with these services.

However, some 26% of respondents say that they are dissatisfied with the agency's inability to meet target times for test bookings. In addition seven out of 10 operators are dissatisfied with the knowledge held by test station staff.

Responding to the survey, a VOSA spokeswoman says that it is pleased to learn people have become happier with its service. She adds that VOSA still wants to increase its performance and tackle those issues raised by its customers "To improve testing times, we have begun a recruitment campaign for more testers in Germany as there is a skills shortage of these in the UK." she says. "We are also piloting more flexible opening hours and providing 'online' test applications. In addition, VOSA's operator self-service system,TAN 21. will eventually be rolled out to enable hauliers to update vehicle records and pay fees online. This is currently at the test stage. We want to ensure that it is fully-functional before it goes live." she adds.
