R. C. Howes will relinquish his directorships and his post as general sales manager in the Duple Group from March 31 in order to take another appointment in the motoring industry. G. A. H. Payze has been appointed acting general sales manager from April 1.

Ronald T. Barnfield is joining the board of Shelvoke and Drewry Ltd, member of the Butterfield Group, as marketing adviser, mechanicalhandling products. George Blair, Western SMT Co driver, added yet another safety award to his collection when he retired last week after 46 years with the company; it was the 42-year-safedriving medal presented by Police Inspector G. Seaman. Traffic manager J. S. Mack presented Mr Blair with a watch on behalf of his colleagues; Mr Blair has also been awarded the TGWU gold medal.
