DURING the past month, Leyland Motors, Ltd., have received orders to the value of over £220,000 to supply buses to home operators. Southdown Motor Services, Ltd., require 20 Titan doubledeckers and 15 Tiger Cub single-deckers. the Yorkshire Traction Co., Ltd.. 23 Tiger Cubs and Wigan Corporation 10 Titans.
• Four Tiger Cubs arc to be supplied to East Yorkshire Motor Services, Ltd., three to Thomas Bros. (Port Talbot), Ltd., one to Barrow in Furness Corporation, and six Titans to Stockton Corporation.
Over half of the current orders for Super Comet 9-tonners have come from overseas. Many buyers have specified the optional sixth-speed overdrive.
