AS there has been no objection to the proposal by the Minister of Transport to increase the speed limit for motor vehicles through the Blackwall and Rotherhithe tunnels from 15 m.p.h. to 20 m.p.h., regulations making this effective will soon be brought into force. The Minister's decision has been taken on the advice of the London and Home Counties Traffic Advisory Committee, which recommended that the increase should be reviewed at the end of six months.
