Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

PRE-TAX PROFITS from Plaxton's slumped from £248,000 for the six months to February 28, 1974, down to £140,000 for the corresponding period in 1975.

Plaxton's blames this decrease on the difficulties faced in obtaining chassis during this period and a three-day week. With chassis supply improved, and a full order book from home and overseas, the company anticipates that the second half-year will produce satisfactory results.

Next year, with the Supreme going into quantity production, should show a further improvement in results.
