schemes considered to need priority in the road-building programme has been submitted to the Minister for Transport by the Road Haulage Association.
The list has been compiled from advice from members up and down the country and takes into account the lorry routes which are now being considered. Further lists are being compiled for road schemes in Wales and Scotland.
The list includes : (1) EastWest routes linking east coast ports and Midlands: Felixstowe-Harwich--M1; completion M62 to Hull; completion M18 from Al-Grimsby. (2) Al2 Great Yarmouth-Ipswich. (3) A10 King's Lynn-Cambrid (4) Pudsey-Dishforth mot way. (5) Completion of M M16 and M11. (6) Extension M20 Maidstone-Folkestone. North and South Circu routes (London). (8) Improments to road between Nor East and Edinburgh : AE Newcastle-Otterburn; A68 ( terburn-Scottish border.
