by British Railways when they objected at Preston, last week, to an application by J. Holgate, Ltd. The company were seeking an A licence for "general goods as required" to replace a special A licence covening one vehicle.

Mr. J. Holgate said they had nine vehicles on special A licence, 10 on contract A and six on B licence. Figures of earnings for the company's vehicles were submitted.
