Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE FERRY rebuilding programme to create extra lorry capacity on Townsend Thoresen's cross-Channel routes is proceeding apace.

Following the launch of two extra bow sections for two of Townsend's vessels (CM, June 1), the passenger accommodation has now been removed temporarily from one of the vessels, the Free Enterprise VI.

The 1,300-ton superstructure has been lifted off at a Bremerhaven, West Germany shipyard so that the new bow-section can be fitted as part of a £30m project to double the lorry capacity on each of four ferries from 30 to 60.

The two ferries used on Dover-Zeebrugge sailings are being rebuilt this year.
