THE Aro Ranger series of four-wheel drive crosscountry•vehicles will soon be available in this country.
It will be offered in three versions: the 240 canvas top pickup, the 242 metal cab pickup with a reinforced floor for cranes, and the 243 dual purpose hardtop. A 244 Ranch Wagon is to be introduced at a later date.
Apart from the Peugeot four cylinder diesel engine, which is offered as an option to the standard 152 cu in (21/2 litre) petrol engine, the Aro is manufactured entirely in Rumania.
The importing company, which confirms that the first consignment of vehicles has already arrived in this country, is Tudor Vehicle Imports (UK) Limited, Gildersome Spur, Gildersome, Morley, West Yorks, LS27 7JZ.
