[We appreciate your references to the work we are carrying out and your promise to give us your further support. We are rather surprised at the attitude of the Furniture Warehousemen and Removers Association, as we should have thought that this association would have welcomed as many new members as possible. As regards the Road Haulage Association, this is making great headway, and now has nearly 2,000 members. This progress is particularly gratifying to us, because the R.H.A. originated at a meeting of prominent hauliers arranged by The Commercial Motor on April 29, 1930, when it commenced as the Long Distance Road Haulage Committee.—En.]
