)PERATORS must notify the Traffic Commissioners if they oreak any of the conditions of :heir Operator's licence, West Vlidland Commissioners' chairTian Arthur Crabtree warned ast week.

He said this in spite of taking io action against Densbury Ltd, :rading as Antler Travel of Rugeey, a company formed by Eric Vliddleton, former managing lirector of E. J. Middleton (Ru]eley) Ltd, and now "under probation" from the commis;ioners (CM N ovember 7, 1981).

Densbury was called to the 2ommissioners after Mr Vliddleton's 18-year old son 3oger had pleaded guilty last govember to breaking the young drivers' provisions of the 1980 Transport Act.

He had been driving a coach to :he Brighton Rally last year, with :he Middleton family and a 'riend travelling as passengers. gone was a fare-paying pas;enger, but Roger was neither 31lowed to run on irregular ser/ices or those over 50km or to irive empty coaches.

While this anomaly affects -nany operators with 18-year old irivers, Mr Crabtree said it was ;till a conviction, and one which n this case had not been reported. Eric Middleton said that he police had told him the case /you'd be reported to the Corn-nissioners.

Mr Crabtree went on to say bat there was no evidence of he operator being of ill repute pr of its offences being serious nough to warrant action.
