Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Iveco has developed a gas turbine version of its Turbo Star premium tractor which is currently undergoing development trials with the Swedish Post Office.

The turbine is understood to have been developed by Dereco, Iv eco's engine development specialist and is fuelled by natural gas. More details are expected to emerge during the next few weeks.

Iveco is expected to phase out its old Pegaso models — those with the old Mider style cab — from next year.

Existing nine and 12-litre Pegaso engines currently meet Euro One emission requirements, but Euro Two legislation is likely to cause problems so "manufacture of these engines will eventually be abandoned" says an Iveco spokesman. The latest Iveco nine and 13.6 litre units, used in the Euro Tech and produced at Iveco's engine plant in Bourbon Lancy in France, are the logical replacements.
