Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE exhaust gas analyser from Tunemaster takes its power from the vehicle's own electrical system so no batteries are required. The tail-pipe probe monitors gas from the exhaust pipe itself while the sensor unit is attached magnetically to any suitable surface with no springs or straps being necessary. The analyser is claimed to allow accurate carburettor adjustment regardless of the engine size, configuration. number of cylinders, type or number of carburettors and fuel used.

The company also markets a combined dwell meter/tachometer which operates on four, six and eight-cylinder engines and which can be adjusted for six or 12-volt systems.

Several instruments designed for system checking are available from Tunemaster including a generator./ regulator tester and a starting circuit tester. The latter can check batteries, solenoids, earth connections and starter motors.

Available from: Link-Hampson Ltd, 5 Bone Lane, Newbury, Berks, RE14 5TD.
