MORE • commercial Vehicles are• LYI expected to be imported into New Zealand next year as the result of the Government's decision to increase by £3.5m. to £21.5m. the sum available for imports of motor vehicles. Importers of motor vehicles from soft-currency areas will be permitted to use during the present year up to 10 per cent. of the value of their 1955 licences.
The value of vehicles imported from North America next year is expected to be doubled. About 600 15-cwt, pickups are likely to be bought from North America.
