Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• LDV launched a dual-fuel version of the Convoy at the CV show. The BI-Fuel, powered by LPG or petrol, will go on sale this month; The company says it was designed specifically to meet growing demand from environmentally concerned customers.

Features include a 90-litre tank slung under the offside; a fourcylinder Ford engine with twin overhead camshafts and electronic injection; and a three-way exhaust catalytic converter.

LDV says the Convoy lent itself to this conversion because of its externally mounted fuel tank. Buyers of the Bi-Fuel will qualify for a grant worth up to 75% of the conversion cost from the government's Powershift agency.

Commercial Motorunveiled LDV's Intention to go down the alternative fuel route last year (CM14-20 Oct 1999). At the time the company denied rumours that it was losing municipal orders because it had no alternative-fuel versions to offer fleet buyers.
