Body extension kits are available from Telehoist Ltd., Cheltenham, for increasing the capacity of the company's 14ft Tel-lite steel bodies and 14ft Tel-by aluminium bodies designed for tipping vehicles. The minimum extension of either type of body gives an increase in capacity of 2 cy.yd.. the capacity increments over this minimum being 1 cu.yd.
In the case of the Tel-lite body, the weight of the 2 cu.yd. extension is 150 lb., while each cu.yd. increment adds 40 lb. to the weight, corresponding weights of Tel-boy extensions being 100 lb. and 30 lb. re spectively. The kits include a tophinged tailboard of the standard type.
The 2 cu.yd. extension of the Tel-lite body costs £25 and each Cu. yd. extension costs £10. Telboy extensions cost £45 and £20 respectively.
