• Among a series of management and supervisory training courses arranged by the Road Transport Industry Training Board at the High Ercall Motec is a one-week course in December, "Costing and accounts for road haulage managers". This course, the first of its kind put on by the RTITB, provides instruction in a detailed system of vehicle costing for varying types of operation. Associated record and documentation systems necessary for comparing individual vehicle performance against budgeted standards are part of the course. Also dealt with are financial planning and control methods designed to promote company growth and profitability.
Also arranged are a two-day course on "Management job description"; a one-week course covering RT1TB training requirements; a three-day course on Operational Efficiency; and a transport managers' course lasting oneweek or two weekends.
