• British trailer-maker Merriworth (Engineering) Ltd„ Dartford, Kent, has started exporting its products to Sweden. Last week, 12 trailer running gears as self-contained assemblies on their own sub-frames were shipped by Merriworth to trailer makers in Sweden. The running gears are of both the tandem-bogie and single-axle type. The whole load of running gears is going to Sweden on one of six complete Merriworth 12.3-metre flat-platform trailers with wide spread tandem-axle running gear which have been ordered by Swedish operators.
