• The Electric Vehicle Association of Great Britain has launched a new publicity campaign to encourage the use of electric vehicles. The campaign, using the slogan "The Mean Machines", will emphasize the value of such vehicles in the light of the present-day interest in the preservation of clean air and noise abatement. A booklet is being issued by the association which gives the history of electric vehicles, details of their uses and sample costings to show how they can save money.
