Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The next time you're burning rubber on the tarmac, spare a thought for those tyres, for soon they could be putting a roof over your head. John Handley, from Deal in Kent, has come up with a wizard scheme to turn discarded tyres into roof tiles.

His idea is to slice the tyres into Ushaped sections with holes drilled near the edges. The tiles will then be laid in two layers over wooden joists. In the first layer the concave 1.1sections would face upwards and in the second layer they'll face downwards. Hey presto, two overlapping sections make a waterproof cover. So next time you need a new roof, remember —go rubber! How's that for recycling?
