Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

of more than 2,000 trade companies.

Among other exhibits was Timinder — a "low-cost" way for service departments to keep track of hours available for sale.

Kalamazoo Turbo 139 Minden Industrial is the sole UK importer of Sata sprayguns, air control equipment and braking apparatus, and Festo power tools with integral dust extraction.

Two new products manufactured by Minden for body repair are the Vacbloc and Vacfile dust-free sanding tools designed for hand finishing. They can be used with a range of punch abrasive sheets, drilled as for power tools. When the backing pad eventually deteriorates, it can, says Minden, be simply and cheaply replaced.

Minden Turbo 140 Monroe's theme for ATS '89 emphasised safety and the potentially disastrous consequences of worn out shock absorbers. Details of the new Monroe/AA Shock Absorber Training School are available to employees of distributors.

Monroe Turbo 141 Automotive paint producer PPG Industries maintained its record of exhibiting at every VBRA Bodyshop and now at its successor. Products used in its refinish systems include new first-stage etch primers— Universal EWP (chromate-free) and extra-build wash filler 2+1, DP40 — and a new epoxy primer for enhanced anticorrosion performance and for use in plastics repair systems.

PPG Turbo 142 The show was the European premier for Souriau's electromechanical two-post lift, which was among its largest ever selection, from commercial lifts (including a mobile version) to single, two and four-post car lifts.

Souriau's Modula diagnostic system, launched four years ago, was shown in all its forms.

Souriau Turbo 143 Spraybake introduced its MSeries booths designed to succeed several older designs. The new models come in heights from 2.4m (8ft) to 3.6m (12ft), while all measuring 7m long by 4.32m wide. They feature a 3m wide ceiling inlet filter bank and a 2m x 5m dry paint arrester extract filter under a gridded floor.

A totally automated IRT infra-red arch system was displayed within the M-Series booth.

Spraybake Turbo 144 Sykes-Pickavant introduced its new range of diagnostic equipment at the show. Electrical circuit testers, cooling system pressure testers and cylinder leakage testers have been added to the range. The cylinder leakage tester is an alternative to a compression tester. It works by pressurising the cylinder under test with compressed air and then indicating on the dial the percentage of original pressure maintained. Leaks can be traced by feeling for escaping air from the inlet or exhaust manifold, the engine breather or bubbling through the radiator.

Another new item is called a universal diesel adaptor. This item uses a pressure transducer clipped onto the injector pipe to sense the fuel pulses and then converts these pulses into electrical impulses. The electrical impulses can then be picked up by any normal timing strobe light. Comparisons between injectors on an engine can be done by the unit alone.

All Sykes-Pickavant test equipment now comes in strong, double-skinned cases. Sykes-Pickavant Turbo 145 Tangye's automotive division introduced its Euro Superline hydraulic bottle jack with capacities from 3 to 35 tonnes, featuring a patented stroke limiting device, overload pressure relief valve and easier manual pumping.

Tangye is the sole UK distributor for the Gray end-lift for truck and trailer servicing, an air-scissor jack of 5,000kg capacity, an hydraulically powered heavy-duty transmission jack and a high-rise transmission jack for light trucks.

Trojan trolley jacks — from 2.5 to 20 tonnes — were also shown. Models from 5 tonnes have a pedal for rapid rise under no-load conditions.

Tangye Turbo 146 cars and car-derived vans. The new kits are produced in America by Rockford and contain a cage and ball set, rubber boot, boot clamps, grease and assembly hardware. Vans covered include Maestro, Escort, Astra and Golf. Prices start from about £35.

Towstar Turbo 147 WAP (UK), as the long-time manufacturer of biodegradable chemicals for use with its washers and vacuum cleaners, claims "a total attitude towards green issues". With water privatisation in the frame, it is expecting extra demand for coinop pressure washers, economical in the use of water.

For use around the garage, it recommends its handportable WAP 5000, which operates from a 13amp plug.

WAP (UK) Turbo 148 Wilcomatic featured its nes generation Finesse single-arc roll-over washer capable, says, of washing a mix of 1 small vans and cars in the tin usually taken to wash 10.

Construction is 3mm ste plate, with resin coating.

Wilcomatic Turbo 19 Wilirth UK offers 7,000 pr duct lines including the ICK body adhesion technique f bonding vehicle panels, ti Time-Sert thread repair sy tern and chemicals in CFC-fri aerosol cans.

New "ecologically harmle propellants" made their debt These were carburettor foz for cleaning dirty or (midis. metal surfaces; carburett cleaner for removing residu( and LU cleaner for dissolvi dirt, grease, oil and paint.
