• During the APPTO conference in Liverpool last week Mr T. Marsden, general manager of Aberdeen Corporation transport department, was elected, and inaugurated, as the Association's president. He succeeds Mr E. Deakin of Bradford. Mr R. Cox, director general of the Greater Glasgow PTE, is vice-president for the forthcoming year.
There was no change in the officers of the Federation of Municipal Passenger Transport Employers.
No decision has yet been taken on when — or where — the 1974 APPTO conference will be held.
