Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

"Cnimog takes on the Fastrac" (CM 8-14 Oct) with interest, and was flattered to discover that the Fastrac has now been accepted as a generic term after only seven years in the market.

Ilowever, Mr Dixon included claims that even we would not make for our machine: 1. Fastracs cannot and have never been engineered to travel at 60mph. We do build a few 50mph models, although in the UK 95% of Fastracs sold are engineered for a top speed of 30mph or 40mph.

2. Fastracs, like all agricultural tractors, are restricted to a maximum gross train weight of 24,390kg. In practice this comprises a sixtonne tractor, four-tonne trailer and 14-tonne payload. I do not believe 14 tonnes constitutes "articulated" size payloads as understood by your readers,

3. There is an on-going Government consultation exercise suggesting that tractors capable of speeds greater than 40kmih being used more than 25km from their base should be subject to Operator Licensing control. This differs from Mr Dixon's interpretation of the situation.
