• A new skip loader was stolen from Salford Skips yard the day after the company bought it. The red Mercedes 1317, registration number J586 BV0, was found to be missing at 2 1:15hrs on 25 October from Salford Skips' yard in Salford, Manchester. The thieves had apparently used the truck to ram through the yard's locked gates.
It was fitted with a CH305 Telehoist power reach and a skip loader, serial number 305-1127. The truck was carrying a yellow skip with "Salford Skips tel: 0161 737 5255" painted on it in black. The chassis number is 676035255004325 and the engine number is 36694620982956.
