Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• I am deeply disappointed to find that the apathy of manufacturers has led to the scrapping of next year's CV show at the NEC.

Their failure to support what was once considered THE CV show to be seen at, is short-sighted and does great disservice to the industry. The NEC show has always provided a perfect opportunity for the industry to demonstrate to the general public the important role it plays in UK and world markets. With environmental concerns about road users under the microscope more than ever, now is not the time for the advancements made by truck makers to disappear from the

public eye.

Some companies seem to believe that shows such as the IRTE and TipCon give them better value because they bring them into direct contact with buyers. They miss the point. Such shows are increasingly becoming incestuous circuses in which the same old faces do the same tricks for the same audience.

The NEC gave us the chance to look outwards for new markets, and for new faces to look in to see what we could do. Why throw that chance away?
