• A bid for a six vehicle national licence by A M Distribution has been turned down by North Western Deputy Licencing Authority, John Levin. The application was opposed by St Helen's Borough Council on the grounds that the access to the Baxters Lane operating centre was inadequate for heavy goods vehicles.
