DANA HEAVY DUTY has established Drivetrain Services, a propshaft manufacturing and reconditioning subsidiary, with its first branch in Durham.
The company started operating on November 1 from Unit Cl, Abbey Road Industrial Estate, Abbey Road, Durham, and is providing a reconditioning service in Northern England and Southern Scotland.
At present, the branch, which is managed by Bill Gibson (phone 0385 47107), has five employees, three on production and two on delivery work. It offers an overnight delivery service, promising delivery by 9.30am if the order is received before 5.30pm the previous day.
There are plans for two more branches, one in the Midlands which would open around the middle of next year, and a late1984 scheme for a Southern English branch.
