SOUTH YORKSHIRE PTE has clarified former Labour transport spokesman ALBERT BOOTH'S role in its organisation.
He is an executive director, but unlike other PTE* South Yorkshire has broken away from giving executive directors specific areas of responsibility and instead is operating like a commercial company with its director general and other two directors being responsible for corporate policy.
County's men
COUNTY TRACTORS, the new company formed out of County Commercial Cars which went into receivership in June (CM June 18), has finalised its management team.
David Gittins, who bought the assets of the company, is the chairman. He is supported by David Corbett as a non-execu tive director, Guy Seaman as managing director, and Don Moore as executive director.
Roger Thomas is in charge of sales, public relations and advertising, assisted by Ian Sutton in sales and distribution and Gordon Williamson as northern area sales and service.
Dennis Smith is in charge of service, while Don Carter and Jim Robinson manage parts and accessories.

GREATER LONDON Coun leader Ken Livingstone has p posed the appointment of Mt Amory deputy leader of Br Borough Council, as the si part-time member of the Lonc Transport Executive.
Mr Livingstone has asked f time board member Keith Bri to approve the appointment, ; the issue was further discus. at a meeting of the GLC tra port committee on Wednesc November 2.
If ratified, Mrs Amory will the first black LT board meml and will help demonstrate multi-ratial policy of LT, Mr ingstone said.
Mrs Amory is in London , has experience of local govt ment and trade unions.
