Mr Cannon joined Gloster Equipment Ltd (which later became Gloster Sara) in 1963 as project manager to start the company's lnsumat division. From 1957 to 1963 he served with Delaney Galley and was manager of the thermal insulation division at Biggleswade. Mr Goflings joined Hawker Siddeley Group management services as a senior industrial engineering consultant in 1966 after serving with United Steel Companies and Coventry Corporation as an industrial engineer. He joined Gloster Saro last year as production executive, responsible for the manufacture of vehicles and Hands Neway equipment.

Varley have completed a National Bus Company senior management training course and been promoted to new positions. Mr Archer becomes assistant to the divisional traffic supt, Bristol Omnibus; Mr Banwell assistant divisional traffic supt, Potteries; Mr Humphrey traffic supt, Harrogate, West Yorkshire; Mr Nash assistant traffic supt, Dewsbury, West Riding; Mr Roxburgh assistant area manager, Folkestone, East Kent; Mr Smith, assistant traffic supt, Tyne mouth, Northern General Group; Mr Varley assistant to the area supt, southern area, Ribble.

Tony Clitheroe, 32, has been promoted general manager of Barton Motors (Charley) Ltd, the Standish Street garage which is part of the £32m Oliver Rix chain. Mr Clitheroe has been sales manager of Barton Motors since February.

Joseph L. Gormezano, 41, has joined Automotive Products as general sales manager, export. Mr Gormezano was previously the Perkins Engines Group general sales manager for northern and eastern Europe. P. A. Burdon takes the newly created post of technical manager, export, with special responsibilities for customer technical liaison.
