WHEN East Midland Motor Services', Ltd., and the Midland General Omnibus Co., Ltd., each lodged applications to the Yorkshire Licensing Authority last week to run summer Saturday services to Great ,Yarmouth, they opposed each other and both faced objections from British Railways.

Both road operators already carry passengers over the route by means of linked services. East Midland wished to run a service via Mansfield, and Midland General two services via New Tupton and Grassmoor respectively.

It was stated for the railways that the train fare was not unreasonable. The case was adjourned.
