Ifil here was no superhero on hand to provide a miraculous escape for haulier Roger Wheldon when police at a vehicle checkpoint charged him with being overloaded by one Batmobile. Wheldon was transporting the vehicle from the Gotham City film set in Buckinghamshire to a museum in Cumbria. He was fined 2.125 for the little caper. The magistrate was no joker.
