Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

/ Operators who have experienced excessive front tyre wear on the VW T4 Transporter, launched last year, should take the matter up with their VW dealers. VAG (UK) has agreed to treat rectification work as a warranty issue, providing the wear is due to incorrect factory settings and not driver abuse. VAG says the problem seems to be more common on early models.

Parcels operator DHL bought some early T4s last year and they have covered 72,000km to date. The company has experienced early tyre wear, but fleet manager Paul Bellamy says that VAG was "extremely cooperative".

All the DHL vehicles were rectified under warranty and the problem has not recurred.
