• Leyland Daf has sold its two Peter Brown dealerships to Pallieter Holdings, a Dutch motor group which has several Daf outlets in The Netherlands. However, Pat Bryne will continue to run the outlets, in Northampton and Kettering.
This is the first time a continental dealer group has bought a truck dealer in Britain, Leyland Daf says: "It's Europe beginning to work."
