Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

L'QUIPMENT manufactured by this com

pany of interest to vehicle • welders consists of blowpipe& and regulators. The concern also markets cylinder trolleys, adapters and other accessories for welding equipment.

Various models of blowpipe are produced and of interest are two torch sets. The Enfield Universal Pressure welding torch Model 43 is sold with the cutting attachment, Model 49. This comes with a range of nozzles which allow flame cleaning and heating as well as welding and cutting with acetylene to be undertaken. The Midget combined set, Model 19/36, has a Model 19 welding blowpipe and 10 welding tips as well as a Model 36 cutting attachment and four cutting tips. All the equipment is supplied in a strongly made box.

A welding torch offered by British Industrial Gases, which is worth coniidering if a lot of welding work is done, is the Model 50-2. This torch reduces the amount of gas wasted when an operator puts the torch down between welding operations and leaves it alight at working pressure. When a torch is in almost continual use, a good deal of time is taken in shutting off the torch, relighting it and readjusting the flame between individual jobs, so it is natural to leave the torch alight. But with the 50-2 the flame can be extinguished, except for a tiny pilot light, and relit instantaneously simply by using a thumb control on the torch handle.

Regulators with gauges are available from the company and there are also gaugeless regulators. The latter overcome the main source of damage and inefficient working of gas-welding equipment—when the gauges usually break and render the complete regulator unserviceable. With the gaugeless type, the pressure gauge has been replaced with a cylinder-content indicator showing the contents for the cylinder in step gradua tions—,t full, full, I full and empty--and the pressure required can be selected by screwing in an adjuster screw.
