According to Mr. James Christie, chief constable of Greenock, fresh roadtraffic legislation is contemplated by the Ministry of Transport. He made this prediction at the annual meeting of Greenock and District Safety First Council.

" That further legislation, with a view to the prevention of road accidents, is contemplated," said Mr. Christie, "is apparent by the fact that, since April 1 of this year, particulars of every accident involving personal injury, whether fatal or otherwise, are being noted by the police and forwarded to the Ministry of Transport for examination and analysis."

Free Lodge Adapters for All Plug Terminals.

Many manufacturers of vehicles have replaced the usual screw terminals on sparking plugs by push-on fittings attached to the high-tension wires and connecting with neat adapters on the plugs. In different makes of plug the threads on which these are screwed vary, and difficulty may, therefore, be experienced when fitting a new set. To overcome this, Lodge Plugs, Ltd., Rugby, has introduced a complete range of adapters to suit all types of cable fitting; they can be supplied free.
