• Stevensons of Uttoxeter is reintroducing crew operated buses to Burton on Trent on Saturdays.

For a trial period the independent will use older half cab rear platform buses on two busy cross town routes.

It has found conductor operated buses assist the efficient operation of services and create general goodwill for the travelling public.

Stevensons recently took over the municipal bus operation of the East Staffordshire District Council.
